LADAKH WITH NUBRA VALLEY

Day 01: Arrive Leh

Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, Upon arrival you will meet and greet by our tour representative and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day for leisure. Evening visit to Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Market.

Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 02: Leh Excursion To Monasteries (50 KMS / 02 hrs – one way)

Breakfast Breakfast at hotel, proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village & Hemis Gompa the largest monastic foundation of  Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the other Drukpa monasteries are the branch monasteries of Hemis. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Excursion To Pangong Lake – 14,000 FT. (140 kms / 4-5 hrs – one way)

After  breakfast at hotel,  proceed  for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Metre. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. After spending some time at Pangong we drive back to hotel for overnight stay. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 04: Leh–Nubra Valley  via Khardungla 18,390 FT. (120 kms / 4-5 hrs)

After early breakfast, leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong – la pass (alt: 18,380 ft. – highest motor able road  in the world). After descending in the valley, drive on to Hunder and check into fixed camp. Post lunch, you can enjoy the ride of double hump Camel on Hunder sand dune. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 05: Nubra Valley – Leh (120 kms / 4 – 5 hrs)

In the morning drive to Deskit (Headquarters of Nubra) and visit Deskit Monastery. Later, drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon. Rest of the day to explore the markets. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Depart Leh

After breakfast, check out from the hotel, transfer to airport for your flight back home.
