DAKSHIN DARSHAN

Duration: 09 Days / 08 Nights Ex – Chennai

Places to Cover:  Chennai – Tirupati – Mahabalipuram- Pondicherry – Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai – Rameshwaram

Day 01: Arrive Chennai

Arrive in Chennai and check-in at the hotel.  Afternoon sightseeing of Chennai city visiting the Parthasarthy Temple, Kapeeleshwar Temple, Fort St. George, Santhome Cathedral, Marina Beach & Art Gallery.  Evening will be at your leisure.

Day 02: Transfer to Tirupati (150 kms/ 4 hours drive)

Depart for Tirupati by road.  Arrive and check-in at the hotel.  Evening at leisure.

Day 03: Transfer to Mahabalipuram (150 kms/ 4 hours drive)

Early morning visit the Balaji temple for Darshan of Lord Venkateshwara.  Later in the afternoon proceed further for Mahabalipuram by road. Arrive and check-in at the hotel.  Late afternoon proceed for sightseeing.

Day 04: Transfer to Pondicherry (138 kms/ 3 hours drive)

Morning depart for Pondicherry by road.  Enroute visit Mahalbalipuram famous for its sculptures. Late afternoon visit Sri Aurobindo’s Ashram and Auroville.

Day 05: Transfer to Tanjore (192 kms/ 05 hours drive)

Morning depart for Tanjore  by road, enroute visiting Trichy.  Rock fort & Srirangam Island.  Arrive Tanjore check-in at the hotel.  Evening at leisure.

Day 06: In Tanjore

Morning proceed for sightseeing visiting Brihadeshwara Temple and Saraswathi Mahal Library.  Evening will be at your leisure.

Day 07: Transfer to Madurai (194 kms/ 04 hours drive)

Early morning depart for Madurai by road.  Arrive Madurai check-in at the hotel.  Evening visit the famous Meenakshi Temple.  You can also participate in an evening Aarti.

Day 08: In Madurai – Excursion to Rameshwaram

Today full day excursion to Rameshwaram.  Visit the famous Shiva Temple.  Evening return to Madurai.

Day 09: Transfer to Madurai Airport/ Railway Station

Today you will be transferred to Madurai Airport/station to proceed for your onward destination.
